8 Things

I am so excited at the idea of being able to be up and around again (getting close!!!) because I am dying to do these projects:

1. A couple of these will be making their way to our bed soon! I'm thinking mustard yellow petals.

2. Speaking of our bedroom (the current room I am obsessing about we are working on decorating), I'm planning on making a few of these chalkboard tiles for the walls. I'm still deciding whether to use canvas or wood- canvas would be easier to hang, but wood would be easier to write on.  I'll let you know how it goes!

3.  Figure out the paint color we used in our master bedroom in Washington.  We only got to enjoy it for a few months before we moved and I miss it.  It was kind of a quick move and the last thing on my mind was checking paint cans for paint colors, but I was in love with that color and am hoping somehow to find it so we can paint our master bedroom here the same color.

4. Copy these curtains Use these curtains for inspiration to make new living room curtains :).

5.  Plant our garden!  I'm not too sure how this is going to work out with my back issues, but I  pre-ordered all the plants before my back went out, so we'll have to figure out a way to get them in the ground!  I'm thinking I'll have to get hubby to plant everything and then I'll have to plan lots of short periods of time to maintain everything.  I'm hoping this works because I really want to try canning this summer too!

6. Finish this painting>>>.  I have the background done and I know exactly what I'm going to do.... just waiting for my body to cooperate! :)

7. Decide on a mural for my sweet pea's room.  My creative socks have been knocked off lately by all of the amazing crafty mom blogs out there! How did I not know these existed (ok, technically, the link in this sentence is a crafty "dad" blog)?  I never thought I was a mural type person, but I have seen some extremely adorable murals lately.  And, lil' guy already loves animals, so I know he would love a whole wall chock full of them!  I'm in the process of deciding whether I should go with a vintage feel (kind of more my taste) or a cutesy, bright flavor (probably more suited to what he would like).  I'm trying not to obsess too much because I'm sure he would love either one just the same :).

8.  Make a quilt for my son's bed.  Oh how I love sewing.  But I rarely, rarely do it.  But oh how I love it!  I have been thinking a lot lately about upcycled items and am going to try and use fabrics that I mostly have already.  This should be fun!

Phew!  Quite a list for someone who is just barely able to get out of bed!  But hey, a girl can dream, can't she? :)
